Sand Diego Day 4! -Speaking Mandarin

What is up all you awesome people of the Internet! I hope you have had a super wonderful weekend. Today was pretty relaxed and easy going. I again joined my dad in a walk to Starbucks and drank a nice refreshing hot choco-coffee. I was on my own for a few hours and I got bored quickly, so my activities to keep from getting more bored included 1.Tetris(I got to the 18th level) 2.TV 3.Read 4.MonsterMusic(a fairly new app) 5.YouTube 6. Listen to a podcast(at the end I laughed so hard I cried). Then my dad came and took me with him to lunch at the think tank that he was going to. Ugh(the food was gross)!Okay so the first time I went to this cafe the food was so delicious... I ordered the tomato soup and pizza... And today I ordered the chicken tenders. Those chicken tenders were the most disgusting thing ever. Think of mashed up chicken with preserves and additives mashed up some more and breaded. Blegh.........(me throwing up hypothetically)

Next up I met 3 people at the think tank who spoke Mandarin! That made me so happy!!!! I have been taking Mandarin for about a year and I love it so much! So, this literally made my day and I could talk and make conversation with them. They were so nice and awesome, and I was smiling so much today my cheeks are so sore. So, not much happened today guys, and I think I will wrap it up here, and tomorrow I am heading back home! I will write to all you awesome people of the Internet tomorrow! :) Zai Jian!(good-bye!) -PurplePainter321

San Diego Trip Day 3! -Vacation Relaxation

Hello once again to all you awesome people of the Internet! It is now the 3rd day of my trip to San Diego, and today was pretty average I guess until the end(I will write about that near the end of this post)of the day. So, let me tell you how I slept last night. Well lets just say that for the first time in my life I wanted to shoot some birds. They were waking me up at unheard of hours and made the most annoying noises. I guess I could have at least closed the window in the first place.

Me and my dad  in the morning walked to the Starbucks that was down the road and was by a Barnes and Noble Bookstore(that made me extremely happy). I wanted to get the style of hot chocolate that I usually got at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory near where I live. This is how it's made. Hot chocolate with a splash of coffee and a squirt of vanilla. They made it perfectly, so in turn it was soooo delicious.

A little later in the afternoon my cousins and aunt came over again and we went swimming at the pool. I didn't swim for very long but my little 6-year old cousin who you all know, from yesterday's update blog, wanted to swim until dark. Luckily that didn't happen. Instead after we were done swimming we all showered and got ready and we went to Mission Beach. I only went on one ride, it was the one that was built way back in 1925. I screamed very loud on that one. My throat was very raw afterwords and to cure that I got some classic vanilla ice cream. :) So for the next hour or so I talked with my aunt while my cousins were going on a ton of rides. I was sort of disappointed that I couldn't watch the sunset over the ocean's horizon because of the clouds. On our way out we started to see some police cars going to the opposite way than us. In total we counted 2 police vehicles, 1 ambulance, 2 battalion chief vehicles, and 6 fire trucks. There might even be more that. That was just what we saw in the car. So, I am going to record the local news so I can find out what was happening.

That was pretty much it for today guys. Just a simple vacation relaxation day. And I will write to all you awesome people of the Internet tomorrow! :) See ya! -PurplePainter321

San Diego Trip Day 2! -Sea World

Hello all you super awesome people of the Internet! Another day here in San Diego. Today I went to the classic Sea World! Okay, so same format as last entry, I am going to tell what happen on my adventure today.

So, I arrived with my aunt and cousins at about 10:30, and that place was PACKED. It took us awhile to find a parking spot even. Once we made our way to the ticket area we had to endure the famous super looooooooonnnnnnggggg line. By the time we got to the actual ticket box I wanted to shut the guy retelling the same news 300 times up. My aunt had a discount pass so I could pay half off on my ticket.(Before continuing, the original amount of money I had was 100$) Again before we can actually go in to the theme park unfortunately another long line was awaiting us.

Now, we were officially inside of Sea World, and I haven't been here since I was close to 8 or 9. The first thing we did was go to one of the shows, I can't remember the name though. It was the most confusing thing I ever witnessed. The theatrics were okay, but the story line(if there even was one) was the most confusing thing ever. The basics of what I understand is that a girl wanted to swim, bad guys danced around for a bit, bad guys go away for no reason, good people control dolphins, grand finale with a bird and a dolphin king. If anyone gets this please let me know because I sure as heck don't. There was a dolphin themed gift shop near the show area and I went inside and got the most gorgeous necklace with a stone dolphin pendant. When I bought it I ask the cashier if she knew what the show was about and she said,"I work here every day and I still don't know." I laughed at that and was so glad that I wasn't the only person with that opinion.

Next, we made our way to a spinny ride. Me and my brother would always go on the spinny rides so I just had to go on this one. My little 6-year old cousin wanted to come too. For some reason when we were standing in line I made a bet, and let me tell you that you don't make bets with competitive 6-year olds. The bet was that I keep a straight face during all the rollercoasters that we ride. If I lose he can brag all he wants. If I win, I actually didn't think of that when I made the bet. So, we got on the ride and my little cousin tried everything in his power to try to make me change my expression. He came pretty close with his,"Change your face! Smile! Chaaaange, chaaaaange!" I was almost going to because I thought it was the funniest thing. Next up in our little Sea World adventure was another show. It was called "Pet's Rule" a it was a lot better than the first show, but it wasn't that entertaining.

It was a little hot outside so we decided we should get snowies. Okay, so the snowies that I am used to where I live is almost like snow and it soaks up all the syrup and you could easily eat it with a spoon. This was a totally different story. So, they gave it to me in a cone for one thing, I don't think I even had a snowie in a cone before, usually in cups and stuff like that. Next, was that it was rock hard and you couldn't even make a dent in it. The thing that was the worst was that a)bees were swarming the syrups, b)they only had four flavors to choose from, c) after getting the syrup my snowie was leaking and spilling making a sticky mess. Eventually I gave up on the snowie and threw it away.

By now me and my aunt were talking about how an interesting experiment to try would be to put a pedometer on and see how far you walk at a place like Sea World. I saw some art stuff going on and had to see what it was. It was a name art thing. You tell them your name and they paint it using plants and animals. The guy I had do mine asked me what animal to do for the big letter(you had a choice to have a small version which would contain a big letter and the rest of the letters in calligraphy or a large long one that was entirely interpreted in animals and plants) and I did not know what to say. I am the kind of person who likes to think things through and I choke when it comes to split second decisions. After long thought and apologizing to the dude for taking awhile to decide, I finally picked a sea horse for the big letter.(It turned out so beautiful, it had so many details even in the background)

We made our way to the Cirque De La Mar show next. It turned out just like the first show we saw(see above for reminder). I also found out that the guy that was supposedly "randomly" chosen in the audience was just part of the show. My aunt has been here so many times because of the pass she has and she told me a funny story. When they were here for the show she saw the guy who was to be the quote unquote "volunteer" in the show. And she said he looked like bored sort of. He wasn't smiling or laughing. Like he was thinking "Ugh another day at work". I guess I can't blame him because the role he plays never changes and he can't do the crazy stuff that the acrobats were doing.

Long walks and waiting in line later we were near the end of our day at Sea World. So, me and my two little cousins wanted to go on the Atlantis ride. The line wasn't very long, maybe average length. Let me say this now, because of waiting in that line I know now the nightmares of parenthood. My cousins were fighting, kicking, trying to tickle me, being rude. I even tried to hold them apart so they wouldn't cause an epidemic. To keep them sort of behaving I told them that I would leave the line if they kept acting like this and they would come with me. Once we were actually on the ride I put my poker face on. That did not last long at all. We started to go down the water slide part of the ride, I didn't scream at that part as more of a terrified grin-frown.(I really wish I could figure out how to put pictures here) What freaked me out was that in a dark tunnel there was an elevator thing that took the ride up, this is what I was saying as it rose,"Oh God. Crap, no. Holy crap, I am not ready for this." Then we hit a straight-away and started to go down. It surprised me how high my voice could go when I was screaming. By the way I started with a Benjamin at the beginning of Sea World and ended with George Washington.(whoops)

We left Sea World and went to In-N-Out for dinner. I didn't snack at all at Sea World(I didn't eat for 8 hours) and I was really hungry. I got a Double-Double cheeseburger and some fries.(I timed myself here) I inhaled that burger in about 1 minute and some seconds. It shocked my aunt how quickly I ate it. The fries took me longer because I didn't want to rush that. It took me 8 minutes for the fries, all together I ate a full on meal in about 9 minutes.(World Record anyone?) I am so tired now writing this blog. We were at Sea World for over 8 hours. My feet are killing me the most. So I am going to end this post of my San Diego vaycay here, and I will write to all you awesome people of the Internet tomorrow! :) See ya! -PurplePainter321

San Diego Trip Day 1!

Hey all you awesome people of the Internet! I am finally in San Diego! And guess what? I had my very first plane flight today! It was so amazing and cool. The view was so beautiful and breathtaking. I will talk more about that later though. Let me tell what happened once we arrived at the airport. First, the search for a parking spot in that maze, I think I will forget where the car is parked anyways. Then I made my way to the station where the bus comes and picks you up to take you to the terminals. But, I was at station 1 and there were 12 stations in total. So practically every ten feet the bus was stopping to pick other people up. On the other hand the driver was so awesome. He was yelling at times,"Run Forrest run!", to people who were trying to make it to the bus before it left. Long story short at the end of the bus ride I had the Bee Gees "Night Fever" stuck in my head for an hour.

After that I had to go to security check. You know that place where you have to take all metal items and shoes off and put them in the bins. I picked a pretty good day to wear colorful socks :). Funny thing was that I had chapstick in my pocket so the security people had me open it to see if it was REAL chapstick. I thought that was really funny and so did the security people. So, after my run in with the authorities I made my way to the place where you have to wait to board the plane. I had a feeling we would be there for awhile so I pulled out my handy dandy Sudoku book until I could get on the plane.

Once I was on the plane, which I was super pumped about, I was happy to find that I got a window seat(score!) :). So in turn I got a terrific view. It is so hard to tell in words what I felt when we started to rise into the air. I felt like I could go on any ride at Lagoon that was in the sky,  like I could go high into the sky and put the world I lived in into perspective. And I did just that. I put my world into perspective. Seeing the lakes all polluted and gross and the ground bare and brown, I realized the lie we have been telling ourselves. Yes, our world has problems. A LOT of problems. But, I feel if everybody in the world tried to solve the issues in the world together and without argument or war, we can change the way we think. We can stop wars, pollution, anything! Unfortunately though, they way people think is not going to change for a long time, we let our egos get in the way I suppose(and profit and cost and money). Oh well, that last little part of this paragraph was just wishful thinking I suppose.

Next was the arrival at San Diego! Finally! The air is so much clearer and fresher here than were I live. I ate at this amazing Mexican place for dinner and it was so delicious! The food was amazing. I even had one of those moments where the food is so good and you want to eat more, but you are so full and can't eat another bite. Now, I am here in San Diego writing this blog. I will include some pictures with captions in the blog too(Actually the thing wasn't working so I will put pictures in later when I figure it out). I will write to all you awesome people of the internet tomorrow! -PurplePainter321

Longish Blog

What's up all you awesome people of the Internet? I hope you are having a wonderful start of the week. So this might be a longer blog than usual. Mainly because last week's post was a bit short and rushed and I have a lot of things on my mind. Let's get started.

First on the agenda. You know that when a parent lectures you, you feel like you are right no matter what? Well, not me. My parent had a good reason to turn the data off of my iPhone. Reason numero one: I spend way too much time watching live streams and YouTube. Reason two: I use most of the data on our family's plan. Reason three: Do I really need to over use the apps like Fruit Ninja or Twitter.  Those are the main reasons from my point of view I think, though there may be more. Luckily, I am an easy transitioner to these kind of changes. For example if you walk up to me in the street and say something like,"No TV for a year". I would simply say,"Sure if you say so." Because in reality I might not even care if something like this happens. I would most likely find a positive side to the change and transition easily.

Second, it seems that I have labeled myself a 'gamer' on my blog. That is not entirely true. I do absolutely love to play video games, but I like to also do other things such as art, cross country, hang out with friends, go to Trifalga, read a ton, and a lot more. I mean I even played most of the sports in the world, including, Softball, Basketball, Golf, Soccer, Track, Cross Country, and others that I can't remember at the moment. I might start a second channel for gaming, I don't know yet I am still debating that. I guess I will figure that out later.

Subject number three, I wasn't actually stuck in that room in the game Twilight Princess. I was being stupid and not fighting the skeleton dudes with the right weapons. To be honest I guess I cheated a little because I watched a YouTube video on how to open the barred gate.(feeling a bit cheaty)

I am going to stop numbering off these subjects because it's getting a little annoying. Back a ways in the blog post I mentioned live streams, and the biggest live stream site is Twitch. And I stumbled upon a live stream of my favorite games(Legend of Zelda). They were doing a five day marathon of nonstop Legend of Zelda games to raise money for an organ donation charity(I unfortunately forgot the name of the charity). I thought this was an amazing cause to do a live stream for. They, when I last saw, where getting close to their current goal of 30,000 dollars and I think they want to go higher than that. So I thought maybe for anyone who reads this could go and check out that awesome live stream they are doing for charity(their username is funforfreedom and they are calling the livestream Zeldathon Lives).

Next on my list of things to write about is that Comic Con is actually coming to close to where I live. I am not going to Comic Con I don't think(not a big fan of comic books because I am more of a novel type person), but I just wanted to say that for no reason apparently.

Speaking of Cons(segway!) looks like Mine Con is going to be in Orlando,Florida. This is exciting that it is in America this year and I am a Minecraft fan. But, alas I can't go because Florida is on the other side of the country(dang it). Me and my friend feel the same way. We just want Mine Con and Zelda Con to be in our state so we are capable to go.(Interesting fact, the reason it is called a Con is because Con is the suffix*or prefix i can't remember which* meaning 'together', so Mine together or even Zelda together!)

Also, before I forget! I am taking a vacation to San Diego starting on Thursday, so expect some daily blogs from Thursday-Monday! :)

Okay, so I hope that this blog wasn't too long today, and also sorry I posted it late. Well, I think I might make this the new post time considering that my brother is on here right after cross country practice for like four hours. Anyways, thanks for taking a little time to read my blog. I will write to all you awesome people of the Internet when I am on my vacation! :) -PurplePainter321

The Fourth of Jooooly!

Hey all you awesome people of the Internet! Well this week in the US of A we are having a celebration that I like to pronounce the Fourth of Joooly! But, I am not going to be lighting fireworks because of fire hazards and the "drought" that's going on. I put air quotes on "drought" because my family drinks bottle water. But, there still are restrictions such as only being able to turn on the sprinklers every other day. Oh well. Our neighbors on the other hand ARE going to be lighting fireworks. Lets just hope they don't burn the neighborhood down.

Okay so I did something new last week on my YouTube channel. I started a couple gaming series. This is going to sound cheesy but, when I saw my first gaming commentary I instantly loved the idea of doing it. I have always wanted to do one because I love video games and I wanted to connect with other gamers, too. I still have a long way to go before anyone really wants to see my videos, but I love commentating on games anyways.

So, beside that cheesy note I was looking at the protect my tweets thing on Twitter, and turns out no one can see my tweets unless they follow me. That's like subscribing to someone to be able see their videos. That's is just insane. I like the idea of approving of who can follow you, but I don't like the fact that someone has to follow me to be able to see my tweets. I wouldn't do that and I know other people won't do that because its stupid! Well that's my rant for today.

In other news I mentioned before in the beginning of this blog that the Fourth of Joooly(I usually say it like that) is coming up and I am not doing fireworks so I am thinking of doing a third series along side the Challenger series and the Minecraft survival series. I was thinking of playing my all time favorite game. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time(well I pretty much love all Legend of Zelda games) :D.And since I don't have a DV-whatever camera to record it I am going to record using a camera. It is probably going to look super derpy. Maybe I will save up for one of those cameras. I hope that whole thing with Nintendo being jerks about rights toward the games is not still going on. Or else I am going to be super disappointed. Turning a negative into a positive here I could get more time to save up for a real good recording on the Wii camera.(I am so looking up the name of that camera thing)

Question of the week!!!(I will probably start doing these) What is your favorite video game of all time???????????! :)
